At Sauels, we have put our heart and soul into our work since 1901. As a family-run company now in its fifth generation, we have accumulated over a century of knowledge and experience in meat processing – always with the aim of delivering quality and taking responsibility. Our values have guided us all these years, yet at the same time we are constantly evolving. These days, we use AI-supported production control and our own software solutions to improve processes and conserve resources. At every new step along the way, we want to shape a future that benefits our customers, our employees and the environment.

Our employees are the very heart of Sauels – nothing works without them. We value a fair and safe working environment in which everyone feels at home and valued. This includes fair pay, 30 days’ holiday, voluntary special payments and tax-free perks. And that’s not all: we invest in our team’s health and mobility with bike leasing and a company health management programme that includes regular check-ups. We have developed our own software that ensures smooth processes and eases the burden on our employees in production. Treating animals with respect is particularly important for Sauels. As part of the “Animal Welfare Initiative”, we are committed to animal-friendly and sustainable farming. We work continuously to further improve conditions and act responsibly along the entire supply chain. We create trust through regular inspections and transparent communication – for products that we stand behind with a clear conscience.

For us, sustainability means using energy and raw materials conscientiously. We are constantly refining our processes so that we work in an even more environmentally friendly way. We already operate photovoltaic systems at several locations and are demonstrably saving energy as a result. Digital metering systems help us to record consumption precisely, identify bottlenecks and make targeted adjustments. AI helps us to use packaging material efficiently and thus reduce waste. We also rely on environmentally friendly solutions for our own packaging: recyclable materials and reusable plastic folding crates help us to save resources and avoidable waste. Our aim is to bring responsibility for the environment and economic activity into balance so that sustainability is not just an empty word, but a living reality.
